MGS4: Guns of the Patriots – Ps3 Exclusive

It is said that Metal Gear Solid 4 is the game that made people want to buy the PS3. The graphics are near perfect, the movements are so lifelike you forget the game is animated, and the voices are absolutely perfect it feels like real life. In addition to supreme graphics, the soundtrack to the game is also bone chilling and adds to the overall gaming element. Many XBOX fans were disappointed that MGS4 would be a PS3 exclusive. In addition, MGS4 simply does not disappoint. Playing it is like reliving his story all over, and even some characteristics of the game involve reminiscent  qualities from previous games in the series.

The Cinematics

Yes, the Cinematics of this game are long, but truly touching and perfect. The quality of the in-game cut scenes are even superior to real movies themselves. Playing MGS4 is comparable to reading a novel you simply cannot quit, but with this you become visually immersed. The graphics are cutting edge, and the surround sound adds to it. These cut scenes are not to be missed; they hold crucial background information that will allow you progress through the game easily and armed with plenty of storyline that is necessary for complete comprehension.

Extras During Gameplay

Gameplay doesn’t end when you beat the game. MGS4 has broken the barriers of simply completing a game and moving on, with this Metal Gear title, you experience the game. After completing it once through, you can unlock harder difficulty levels, stronger weapons, and you can work to find the hidden itunes scattered around the game.

About The Actual Gameplay

Since the Metal Gear games are traditionally “stealth adventure”, you need to keep that in mind when playing. The goal is not to kill everything you can, because that will eventually cause more trouble than its worth. Instead, remain quite, semi-anonymous, and avoid confrontation on the battlefield. Same goes for boss battles!

As an award winning PS3 exclusive title, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is simply not a game to be missed by anyone!

Heavenly Sword – Ps3 Exclusive

Heavenly Sword is an epic title developed by Ninja Theory. It is a Ps3 Exclusive. The game has a stunning graphical set up, as well as soft backgrounds, gorgeous characters, and superior voice acting. The voice acting and game set up alone is enough to bring tears to your eyes, and fill your body with a rush of goose bumps or chills down your spine.  The surprisingly realistic facial animation adds extra emotion to the entire game. In addition to the aesthetic appeal of the game, it features incredible combat options; with martial art inspired combat styles. It was an immediate hit, but is still underrated by some gamers and critics alike.

Main Characters

Nariko is the primary character in this game, and is easily one of the prettiest characters throughout the plot. She was shunned for being female, and is protecting them with entire life. Despite their hatred towards her, she still does everything in her power to ensure that they are safe. Other characters are equally as emotional and the story line adds a deep and serious vibe. The game play and story primarily centers around Nariko, as well as her sister Kai. Other characters are also part of the overall story, but they are nowhere near as important as Nariko.

Gameplay Basics

Heavenly Sword doesn’t amplify any sort of graceful button mechanisms. It involves a lot of frantic button pushing, mixed with easy to understand basics. Stances and attacks are important, so it will take some getting used to. Different attacks include speed attack, power attack, and unblockable attack. Combinations of attacks work best.

The game is an overall win, and those that play this game end up enjoying it fully. The story and music blend together perfectly, as well as the graphics and complete layout.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction – Ps3 Exclusive

Ratchet And Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is now an older Ps3 exclusive, but continues to be one of the top exclusive titles for the console. Its sharp graphics, fluid character movement, and SIXAXIS control mechanisms make this game simply one of the most enjoyable platformers for the PS3.

In the plot, Ratchet is back from his “break” which happens to be one of many, and is ready to take on saving the world once again. With the vile Tachyon racing to learn more about the Lombax race, Ratchet finds himself fighting for more than intergalactic peace, but also to find out who he really is and where he is from.

What To Do In The Game

Ratchet & Clank futures is more than fending off nasty swarms of enemies, it’s also about completing extra missions and upgrading weapons. So of course, try your best to get as many bolts as possible so that you can upgrade your weapons faster. Having better upgrades as soon as possible makes the game a lot easier, and definitely more fun. After you beat the entire game once, go back and play in challenge mode. This is one of few games that remain interesting after the first round. It’s worth it to have the super powered weapons and hundreds of thousands of bolts!

What Makes This PS3 Exclusive Special?

Ratchet & Clank has always been exclusively for PS consoles, but the PS3 exclusive takes it to the next level. You will experience supreme graphics, more emotion and character expressions, as well as use the SIXAXIS controller to perform certain parts of the game. The SIXAXIS controls add a more challenging element. Detailed objects and backgrounds make Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction a perfect animated sample of what the PS3 is capable of.

Top Driving Games for the PS3

So, the craze for driving games is back, and is it just catching up with a few hardcore gaming freaks? Perhaps not! Check out the following top list and see what’s hot in the driving/racing gamers’ community right now, especially if you own the PlayStation3 gaming console.

5. SEGA Rally Revo
How in the world, and I mean, how can we forget offroad racing? Getting dirty with cars has never been so much fun. Almost 16 out of 33 cars have to be unlocked, but that’s where the fun begins. But is that all? Well, we thought real hard to come up with a fake reason to put this game here on the list, but we found a good, genuine one – It reminds you of the good ol’ SEGA arcade days, and it’s just FUN.

4. Forumula One Championship Edition
Drive, Race, Simulate. Developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, this is yet another hot PS3-exclusive (Wasn’t that obvious? Duhh!) With an improved artificial intelligence system making the game more realistic than ever before and a progressive gameplay, Formula One Championship Edition is our new favorite.

3. Ridge Racer 7
Over two years old, yet so new, Ridge Racer 7 is exclusively available to PS3 owners. Choose a car from the wide range (around 40), land on one of the 22 courses, and drift your car around hairpin turns, feel the excitement and win the race. Wow, such excitement! Couple it with superb graphics, Dolby Digital audio and you’re bound to stick with it for months.

2. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift
Bikes, Mud Pluggers, Buggies, ATVs, Racing Trucks, Rally Cars, and… Monster Trucks! Besides, the game now moves from the brown worlds to a more colorful, island environment. 16 tracks and 51 vehicles from 8 vehicle classes will give you so much variety; you’ll want us to keep it at the Top 2 spot for some more time. Need we say more?

1. Burnout Paradise
Released in January 2008 for the PS3 and still topping this chart is Criterion Games’ biggest hit thus far. Published in association with Electronic Arts, Criterion’s Burnout Paradise has been a heavy hitter with the racing ‘jerks.’ Drive or ride, crash or speed by, follow the route or create your own – Burnout Paradise gives you over 250 miles of open world, known as “Paradise City.” But, what makes this one a winner? Turn to Criterion, and you’ll find that they’re working on giving you more of it, with over 7 packs out after the game’s initial launch.

Got any games of your choice to add to this list?
