PlayStation 3 vs. Xbox 360

The PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 are undoubtedly two of the greatest video game consoles ever released to date. Now, with two outstanding consoles out there, how do people know which to buy? Well, it really comes down to what they want in a system, because both of these have different features.

The PlayStation 3 has a lot of hype around it due to the fact that its processor is developed by 3 top companies (IBM, Sony, and Toshiba). Furthermore, the graphics card was designed by the one and only NVIDIA, who design some of the most powerful graphics capabilities on the market today. With all these great specs, the system also comes with a BluRay Player, allowing users to hold up to 54 GB. Users can watch HD movies, browse the web, and more – all from the compact Ps3 console.

With the added graphics, the Ps3 system allows users to have an ultimate, realistic gaming experience. Movements of characters are not far from looking completely real, and the maps are incredibly realistic. The level of graphics brought into the PS3 are said to be similar to what you would see nowadays in some of the most graphic-savvy movies. The system also has a very wide variety of games, and can play games from previous PlayStation models, which is a huge bonus.

On the other hand, we have the Ps3’s arch enemy, the Xbox 360 console. Now, the Xbox 360 was built much more like a computer, as it uses a processor by IMB with 512MB of Ram, and a whopping 3.2GHz. You’re typical PC? Nope, much above it actually. Of course the RAM is what we would usually find in computers nowadays, but the 3.2GHz is not found in many computers. Put these two together, inside one powerful processor and you have one of the highest powered systems on the market.

Furthermore, the system offers quite good graphics, though many would argue that the Ps3 offers better. The graphics card is an ATI at 500MHz. The 360 comes with a dual DVD-ROM, which many would also argue is not as impressive as the PS3’s BluRay player. Nonetheless, the player can hold DVD and CD formats, allowing this Xbox 360 to be more than just a gaming console, but more like a home entertainment in system

Both of these systems, as you can see, have very high graphic capabilities. Both systems offer some games that the other does not, but the spread is fairly even. You will also have to consider how much you are willing to pay for a system, as Ps3 is much more than the Xbox 360. Two great systems, one tough choice for you to make!
