Resident Evil 5 Review
Now considered one of the most thrilling gaming titles, Resident Evil 5 has set a new level for Xbox 360 game play. RE 5 is a zombie survival game that was featured in our Xbox 360 zombie games, and arguably one of the best thrilling games of all time. The next episode in the Resident Evil saga, Resident Evil 5, takes the series to a whole new level. Many gamers feel that though Resident Evil has preserved some of the original components, but some of the aspects of the game are quite different. While the first three titles have focused more on horror and excitement, critics feel that Resident Evil 5 (much like Resident Evil 4) is more action-oriented.
What makes Resident Evil 5 so exciting is the dynamic plot that untwists. The story begins ten years after the destruction of Raccoon City. The primary character in the game that encounters the most action is Chris Redfield. Chris is an agent of the B.S.A.A. and has one objective in mind: find out as much as possible about the secret doomsday project known as Uroboros. The task does not prove to be easy, especially since horrific monsters prevent Chris from progressing.
Essentially, the primary attraction of Resident Evil 5 is the excitement of watching the plot unfold. In addition, graphics are said to be superior, especially when comparing other similar titles such as Dead Rising. Many experienced gamers do believe that the actual character controllability is inconvenient. It is hard to move around while shooting, which can lead to frustrating deaths. At first, many find the game a bit sluggish, but after a while the pace of the game play becomes exhilarating.
For those interested in online game play, Resident Evil 5 offers a co-operative mode. Players can act as either Chris Redfield or Sheva Alomar to work together to complete the objectives. While online, co-operative mode allows the players to go their own direction. This co-operative feature is said to be extremely beneficial when completing missions since players can look out for each other’s backs.
Selling over two million copies during the first three weeks after being released, it is no question that Resident Evil 5 is recognized as one of Xbox 360’s featured titles. As a testament to the popularity of the game, people began to rave about it immediately after it started being promoted in 2007. Given that it was not even released to the public until March of 2009, it is obvious that fans were anticipating much excitement from this thriller. Aside from some of the flaws in the game play, many believe that Resident Evil 5 ranks among the finest titles on the market.
